Assoc. Prof. Dr. Angelina Seow Voon Yee

Profile

Dr Yee began her career as an auditor and an accountant and she had gained wide international exposure in the area of accounting and auditing work while she was working in Australia, Singapore, United Kingdom and Malaysia. She is currently an Associate Professor in Nottingham University Business School. She was the Head of Business Engagement and Innovation Services Unit in the University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus, and the Director (Industry Collaboration/ Operations) in Nottingham MyResearch Sdn Bhd and Nottingham MyRIAD Solutions Sdn Bhd. She was a council member of CPA Australia Malaysia Division for 2013-2015.

She received the Endeavour Executive Fellowship Award from Australia in 2015. She involves in writing a strategic plan and policy, and review of National Higher Education Strategic Plan for Ministry of Higher Education. She has also contributed to the Higher Education Blueprint. The strategic plan entitled ‘Strategic Enhancement Plan for University-Industry/ Community Collaboration’ focus on how university and industry can collaborates while ‘R&D and Commercialisation’ will outlines the policy and action plan related to commercialisation of R&D in Malaysia. She also involves in writing of a national science Act, appointed by Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) and committee of two focus groups for contributing to 11th Malaysia Master Plan. She was in the Committee of Knowledge Transfer Programme, and Committee of Innovation Agency Malaysia Triple Helix Alliance.

Interests

University-industry collaborations including evaluating and managing innovations, coaching and mentoring system and process, governance and accountability matters, and multicultural and multi-disciplinary approach on regional collaborations.
