Profile

Associate Professor Dr Mohd Izani bin Mohd Zain is a full time  associate professor in Faculty of Human Ecology, Universiti Putra Malaysia. He completed his Bachelor degree in Syariah from the Akademi Pengajian Islam, Universiti Malaya. He did his Masters from the same university at Faculty of Arts and Social Science. He then  obtained his PhD also at the same university. He was a journalist with Kumpulan Karangkraf before joining Universiti Utara Malaysia and later moved to Universiti Pertahanan Malaysia. He was the Press Secretary for Minister of Higher Education, Dato’ Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin before joining Universiti Pertanian Malaysia. His research interests include Politics and Government, Islam and Democracy / Muslim Politics and Democracy, Malaysian Politics and Higher Education Policy
